Family members of Angela Meyer, a mentally ill Yellowknife woman who has been missing for over a month, are launching their own search for her this weekend. Candace Meyer, Angela's sister, said the family has received overwhelming public support to start an unofficial search. "The phone has been going off the hook, and there's been people coming by, and offers with donations from local businesses," Candace Meyer told CBC News on Wednesday. "I'm excited to see everyone out there and to see everyone, you know, putting their heart into it and really trying."
Angela Meyer has been missing since November 27, 2010! She was last seen at 1:30 p.m. when she stepped out for a smoke. She has a medical condition which requires medication. Anyone with information about her disappearance is urged to call the Yellowknife RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Thank you Meyer Family.

The 22-year-old Yellowknife woman disappeared from her family's downtown home at around 1:20 p.m. on Nov. 27. Police said they've searched all places of interest and tips have dried up.

Yellowknife RCMP said Tuesday they believe Angela Meyer was wearing a red and black Arctic Winter Games volunteer jacket, not a white Helly Hansen coat as they had originally thought.Meyer, who has mental illnesses and diabetes, was last seen outside her family's 54th Street house around 1:20 p.m. MT on Nov. 27.

Mounties in Yellowknife are expanding the search area for a mentally ill woman who has been missing since the weekend. Angela Meyer, 21, was last seen on Saturday at around 1:20 p.m. MT outside a home on 54th Street. She was not wearing gloves or a hat at the time.
